I don’t generally order things online. I prefer to see things in person before making a purchase. There have been times in the past that I was disappointed when my order arrived. I have been checking out the yarn at Thankewe Hand Dyed Yarns Etsy store for a long time. I’ve been tempted many times to buy some but for one reason or another I resisted. However on Sunday I gave into the temptation and purchased 2 skeins. They arrived today. I was not disappointed. I now have several sock yarns, I really should try making some socks, haha.

Several months ago I was give a very big box of fabric. I hadn’t done much with it because I didn’t have a sewing machine. Then about a week ago I got a really good deal on a sewing machine from Craigslist. Here is the first thing I have made using the sewing machine. I used some flannel material, from the box, to make some pajama bottoms for my oldest. I made my own pattern by tracing an old pair of his pants. These just barely fit him. It wouldn’t be long before he has outgrown them, I’ll have to make them bigger next time. He grows out of things and wears them out quickly. This should save some money.

Earlier this week I received my package from my partner for the Accessorize My Hobby Swap.
The book is one that I have wanted for awhile. The yarn is a great color, now I have a book to help me decide what to make with it. The earrings and card card are really cute.
This is the great bag I received today made by Beverly. The fabric with the white background have little scissors all over them. The pictures with the colored backgrounds have spools of thread on them. I’ve already put my current knitting project in it.
These are pictures of the lining and the great pockets she added.
This swap was done a little differently from the other swaps I have participated in. Everyone mails their bag to Lenna with an address label and $3 to cover shipping. At the end of the swap Lenna sent everyone a bag.
